Nathan Dillon is a multi instrumentalist and composer recently relocated from New York City to Chicago.
Nathan plays guitar, dobro, lap steel guitar, mandolin, banjo, bass and keyboards. He divides his time between performing and composing American roots based soundtracks for various media productions at Tranessound Studio (www.myspace.com/tranessound) in Chicago, performing and recording with up and coming talent in New York City and Chicago, and making music all over the world with the Persian chamber group Monika Jalili: Noorsaaz (www.noorsaaz.com).
“...I've heard Nathan lay down earthy, straight-ahead guitar tracks one moment and the next, he's creating some ethereal, dreamscape type stuff...”

Nathan has studied and performed a wide variety of music including rock and roll, jazz, classical, blues, country, bluegrass/folk, afro pop, hip hop, and Persian popular music. All
of these influences add up to an original approach to guitar and other instruments utilizing seemingly disparate musical forms (such as Persian folk music and country music, for example) to create a musical blend at times familiar and yet haunting and exotic. He strives to play with the best musicians in the best musical situations in order to continually better himself as a musician and as a person.

Nathan Dillon is available for recording and live performances. Please contact him at 312.576.1126 or email tranessound@gmail.com. Check out his soundtrack work on this site and at www.myspace.com/tranessound.
